About Khami
Khami is a digital marketplace operating in Kuwait. It connects customers with fabric stores and tailors, and coordinates the steps between choosing a fabric and receiving a finished garment.
The problem we're addressing
Custom clothing in Kuwait has a long and living tradition, and the fabric stores and tailors who sustain it are skilled specialists. What has not kept pace is the coordination around them.
For a customer, a single garment can mean visiting several fabric shops to compare cloth, carrying the fabric to a tailor, giving measurements again, agreeing a date, and returning to collect. For a fabric store, it can mean depending entirely on people who happen to walk past. For a tailor, it can mean handling enquiries, measurements and scheduling by phone and in person, one customer at a time.
Khami exists to reduce that coordination — not to replace the people doing the work.
What Khami does
Through Khami, a customer can browse fabrics listed by registered fabric stores, purchase the fabric they want, select a participating tailor, confirm their measurements and order details, and have the completed garment delivered to them. Measurements are stored in the customer's account so they can be reused on later orders.
Khami arranges collection of the purchased fabric and its delivery to the selected tailor, and the delivery of the finished garment to the customer.
How we work with the businesses on the platform
Khami works with independent fabric stores, independent tailors, delivery providers, and payment service providers.
Khami does not own, operate, control, or claim ownership of any of the third-party businesses that participate on the platform. Each fabric store and each tailor is an independent business, responsible for its own products, services, pricing, workmanship and legal obligations. Appearing on Khami does not make a business part of Khami.
Khami does not manufacture fabric. Khami does not make clothing. Khami provides the platform on which these businesses and their customers meet, and coordinates the order between them.

How we operate
Independence
The businesses on Khami are independent, and we describe them as such. We don't present a tailor's work as ours, or a fabric store's stock as ours.
Clarity before the order
Prices, timelines and responsibilities should be visible before a customer commits, not discovered afterwards.
The customer chooses
Khami does not assign a tailor to a customer. The customer selects the participating tailor they want.
Careful handling of measurements
Measurements are personal information. They are collected to fulfil orders and shared only as needed to fulfil them.
